Get to know each other’s work better.

It’s around this objective that a day of meetings between easyJet cabin crew and firefighter trainers from the French airport firefighter training center was built.

The knowledge of the reciprocal means at disposal, the actions that the other will take in case of a problem, of the technical as well as regulatory limitations allows to work better.

In the first part of the day, the easyJet cabin crew had a presentation of the Center, followed by a presentation of the missions of airport firefighters.

Wearing full firefighting gear (suit, helmet, breathing apparatus), they were able to discover, inside the A320 fire simulator, the work of a firefighter confronted with an interior fire. Then, inside the Boeing 737 crash site, they were able to observe the efficiency of the ventilation system to remove smoke from an airframe.

They finally saw a maneuver from inside the trucks, as close as possible to the trainees who were working on an Airbus A320 accident simulation.

In the second part, the firefighter trainers were able to discover the easyJet company, its aircraft and, above all, the equipment available to the crews to fight fire In addition, the presentation of fire and evacuation procedures helped to clarify everyone’s work.

The trainees present at the Center the same day also participated, allowing them to have precise answers.

Fruitful discussions accompanied the whole day of exchange.
