On a 15-hectare site, C2FPA has everything an establishment could wish to gather for the training of Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Services personnel:

Pedagogical equipment:

  • 2 aircraft fire simulators:
    • Long haul BOEING 747 class 9 (L: 65 meters – Ø 8.5 meters);
    • Medium-haul AIRBUS 320 / BOEING 737 / ATR72 (L : 30 meters – Ø 3,6 meters).
  • 1 helicopter fire simulator
  • 6 slick fires:
    • 100 square meters;
    • 2 x 50 square meters;
    • 3 x 5 square meters.
  • Wall of Fire:
    • 4 meters x 3 meters.
  • BOEING 747-200 (ex Air France) ;
  • Cameras recording operational situations;
  • 900 meter off road track for Foam Intervention Vehicles.
  • Wildlife danger zone of 4 hectares.

Infrastructures :

  • A.R.F.F.S. Building;
  • Gym;
  • 5 training rooms;
  • Living room.

Fire simulators

A guarantee of safety:

Since October 2011, C2FPA has acquired a second fire simulator (BOEING 747) which is totally independent from the first one andguarantees the safety of its educational production tool.

Each fire simulator (BOEING 747 and AIRBUS 320) operates completely independently. Its equipment and computer networks are separate and guarantee secure operation.

Two cockpits called “TWR A320” and “TWR B747” allow the implementation of the fire simulation equipment. Each TWR is located in front of its simulator allowing a bilateral vision of the simulator. In case of incident or accident, the trainer can activate the general cut-off in the shortest time.

Cutting-edge technology:

It is illustrated by a highly secured piloting of the installation, the sectorization of the fire areas to integrate multiple scenarios and the temporization of the start of fire of each zone of all the simulators.

Each zone can be set according to the L.P.G. flow rate, allowing for a different heat potential in the same exercise phase.

Depending on the defined educational objective, the fire simulators can be used either in manual or automatic mode and it is possible to combine the operation of several simulators.

Traffic on the entire circumference of the maneuvering areas:

An aircraft fire simulator must be associated with a large maneuvering area around its entire circumference. Foam Response Vehicles (FRV) have a maximum ance range on turret of 65 meters and must be able to operate in “dynamic” mode over the entire 360° around the aircraft.

The maneuvering area of our BOEING 747 simulator offers a distance from the central part of the simulator to its immediate surroundings of 75 meters to 120 meters. The A320/B737 simulator has a diameter of 100 meters with two access roads.

Only this condition allows the implementation of the Principles of Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (P.S.L.C.I.A.) in an educational and efficient way on all the different scenarios of localized and generalized fires with 2 and 3 Foam Response Vehicles.

The Helicopter Fire Simulator is the latest to join the technical platform. Mobile, it can be easily transported on any site for intervention exercises thanks to its 5 fire points working independently of each other, or for victim extraction exercises.
